Dad has been at this facility seven months. I’ve been there a lot and the staff has been kind, considerate, loving, and respectful. I walk the hallways and listen to their interaction with each other and the residents and I know they work hard to care for our elderly. To the staff I’ve encountered, a toast of gratitude to you. To the people who answer my calls (and I call a lot) especially at all times of the night, Thank you! This week, I got Dad to play loteria, he got a haircut, and we enjoyed ice cream day and watermelon day.

The staff was very helpful. It was great seeing Mr. Perez. His daughter and I went to Our Lady of Victory School since Kindergarten. Where my mom was our first teacher. At 88 years old Mr. Perez was still mentally competent and new who I was. He said he was in pain a lot with arthritis. His hips and back hurt a lot. I told him ”I know the feeling. My arthritis got so bad on my left hip from a serious truck accident I had in October of 1990, I had a hip replacement on my left hip. Also have arthritis and fibromyalgia on my neck and back. Overcompensating for so many yet with my rights hip, I believe it’s time for a hip replacement on my right hip.” He was in good spirits. It was almost lunch time. So I figured it was time for me to go.
